How do I even begin? Episode 6, Wow! From the very start when Mary Magdalene showed up on the screen, I was locked to it. Mary played out so beautifully in The Chosen
what I have experienced in my own life.
There were many times I was at a club, knowing I did not belong there. Even in my drunkenness I would feel the Holy Spirit tugging at my heart. One time in particular, I was at a club with my friends when the boyfriend of a women who I came with got into a shootout at the club. When the shots were fired, everyone scattered like roaches… as if a light switch were flipped on. God, even in my sin, kept me safe... ALWAYS.
I, like Mary, felt unworthy to return to Christ. He set me free and here I was back in my sin again, broken. Yet time and time again throughout my life he has taken me back. Not only had he taken me back, but he showed me that nothing I could do would separate his love from me. NOTHING! What a redemption!
Satan would love nothing more than to fill us with shame. Mary, in Episode 6 states, “You redeemed me… and I just threw it all away.” But I love how Jesus responds, “Than that’s not much of a redemption if it can be lost in a day, is it?”
Mary then questions how could she live up to all that he has done for her? How many times have we all walked that long, brutal road? Yet, Jesus simply says, “I just want is your heart. The Father just wants your heart. Give Us that, which you already have.” It's just that simple... when we fully surrender our hearts to Christ, we want to follow Him all the more.
A clear path with a desired destination… is JUST that.
How many of us parents would say to our own children, “I'm sorry, you have done TOO much! I no longer love you.”? Hopefully, none of us would. How much more than our Heavenly Father, who is perfect… and loves us with a love that is beyond human comprehension, would lovingly take us back in.
If you find yourself struggling, don’t live in shame and condemnation… instead, RUN to the Father… because His arms are already open wide. He will take you under the shadow of his wings and heal all that is broken.

"As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us." (Psalms 103:12)
"In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." (Colossians 1:14)
"Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story, whom he has redeemed from trouble." (Psalm 107:2)
